- [Instructor] To accelerate your workflow you're going to need to memorize a few very important hotkeys or keyboard and mouse shortcuts. Specifically for the Navigation and the Transform tools because you're going to be using those so frequently that if you had to click on the icon every time it would seriously slow you down. First, to maximize a viewport, use Alt + W. So just click in a view and choose Alt + W and that's the same as maximize viewport toggle here. Use Alt + W again to go back to your multiple viewport layout. Viewport navigation all revolves around the middle mouse button. To pan or move your point of view left or right or up or down, use the middle mouse button. And most mice these days have a wheel so press and hold that mouse wheel down to get the middle mouse button and that works in all the viewports.
