Set up an environment

- [Instructor] Now let's light a scene for night time. Night time lighting is a little bit different than day time lighting in that we really don't have the sun as a light source. So a lot of the light in the scene is not going to come from outside, it will be from the interior lighting. Now this particular scene that we have is of a living room, that has a fire place which will provide a source of light. As well as this large floor lamp, another source of light. And then we have some lights along the ceiling as well as environmental and fill light. Now before we set up anything, we will need to set up an environment. Now the environment will provide a little bit of light for our scene, as well as a background to Render against. Now we can set up our environment by going into Rendering, Environment, and then under Environment Map all we have to do is select the Bit Map.
