Setting aspect ratio and framing the shot
- [Instructor] To frame our camera angle, we'll want to set up the aspect ratio first and that's done in the render settings. Click on Render Setup and for ActiveShade Mode, we want to choose the appropriate aspect ratio. We'll also want to do the same for Production Rendering. For ActiveShade Mode, we'll want a small window. So go into the Common tab and we want to change the width and height to set the aspect ratio appropriately. So we want to have Image Aspect lock disabled and let's give it a width of 640, but a height of 360. And that'll give us 16 by 9 aspect. When I press the tab key here, our Image Aspect now is 1.778. And we can store that in one of these buttons if we want. We can just right-click on one that we're not using, such as 720 by 486, and click Get Current Settings, and then click okay.
