Setting exposure control
- [Instructor] Let's set up exposure control for a physically accurate simulation of the illumination in a particular space or scene. So I've got a single point light here, select that and we'll see that we've set it up with a high intensity. We can switch this over to lumens, it's a little bit more intuitive. We've got over 100,000 lumens and that's way off. The light would really only have maybe 3000 lumens if this were to represent, let's say a fluorescent tube. So let's do that. We'll set the lumens value to 3000 and now it becomes very, very dark and very, very dim. That's also set the Kelvin value to something more realistic. We'll switch the color over into Kelvin mode and I've got a value there of 4800 degrees Kelvin. So this is a physically plausible setup for a fluorescent tube, but obviously we're getting a very dim rendering. We'll correct for that, using exposure control. That's found in the environment and…
