Setting up V-Ray

- [Instructor] Now, let's move on to rendering. For this project, we're going to use the V-Ray Renderer. So if you don't have V-Ray installed, go ahead and install that, or the demo version now. Now once we have V-Ray installed, we can select it as our renderer. Now, when we switch to V-Ray, we need to make sure a couple of things are in place. The most important one is materials. Now if we take a look at the scene that we have, by opening up the Material Editor, you'll see that if I eyedropper the basic building, you'll see that we've got a number of materials, but they're all the standard material. Now these will work with V-Ray, but not optimally. For best results, we really do need to use either the V-Ray Material or 3dsMax's Physical Material. Now this particular building does have a lot of materials, and most of these were selected in SketchUp when this was conceived and those materials came over.
