Setting up scene lighting

- [Narrator] There are several components to lighting for the Arnold Renderer. Understanding how to use image based lighting and how photo metric lights work is key to your lighting setup in creating your imagery. For our process, we need to think about lighting, rendering, and materials as interactive parts of one whole. We talked about that a little bit in an earlier video. So when I light and work my materials, I'm working back and forth between lighting, materials, and the renderer to get the final look ready to go. This is a very interactive process, and should be so you can get the right look that you want. So we're going to use Arnold lights in our setup. Let me go to top view and we'll look at what we got here. I actually have two lights. I'm going to turn this first one on, and that's the top light, and then I have a bottom light that's set to emit light from a rectangle, kind of like a bounce card in photographic terms.
