Shadow settings

- Shadows are critical to the visual quality of your rendered images. They help define the form and detail of the geometry in your render as well as creating depth in the imagery especially when surgical instruments start showing in context with specific anatomy elements like a spine or a neck or something like that. So shadow settings, one of the most important questions to answer as an artist is how do I get soft shadows. So let's take a look at our lights and what the settings are and how do we get those nice, soft shadows because if you recall, we had that kind of hard line in our shadows. So let's go ahead and go into here and we'll select our top light and before we do that, let's look at the render settings. Sometimes you'll get little speckles of blank pixels that are white pixels in your scene. The way to fix that is just up your camera in the Arnold render settings. Just up your camera settings to above the default, like a seven. It will up your render time a little bit but…
