- [Instructor] In the next few movies, we'll set up a more dramatic lighting effect. First we'll create a spotlight to for-strong directional illumination, known as a key light. We'll also adjust the decay of that key light and add rim lights to accentuate the edges of the model. Eventually we're going to save out separate components of the rendering, such as diffuse and specular components. We'll do that so that we have more control over the look of the image in post production. That process involves rendering out something called arbitrary output variables, or AOVs. Currently AOVs do not support exposure control. The main rendering or beauty pass is the only image that will be exposure controlled. And so that we will have a what you see is what you get preview in the rendered frame window, we're going to disable exposure control entirely.
