we looked at visualizing fluid data channels such as velocity and curvature. We didn't have time to look at the two channels that are probably most important for shading and foam generation, vorticity and churn. Now, let's talk about these data channels in depth. And next week we'll see how to use data channels in a shading network. I've already got a simulation cached on disk. And that cache is not included in the exercise files, so you'll need to run this simulation if you want to see the fluid. If you need a refresher on how to do that, go back a few weeks and look at the movie entitled Understanding Fluid Data Channels. In the simulation view, I'll go over to the display settings, and I'll set the color channel to churn. Now, churn and vorticity data channels are closely related. Churn is best for generating foam particles, while vorticity is good for shading. Both data channels provide representations of how liquid and air mix to produce foam and bubbles.
