- [Instructor] Now when you're rendering with VRay, you can always use VRay materials as well. So let's take a look at how to author a basic VRay material. Now again, I'm going to go into my render setup window here. And I'm going to turn on IPR. And this just gives me a nice view of my final rendered result. Now again, I'm just going to go into the compact material editor to save some space here. 'Cause I am on a fairly tight screen. So let's take a look at these sconces or these lights here in the scene. So I'm going to select an empty material slot and just select one of those. Now it has a material called exterior sconce and if we want to, we can change it using the physical material. But let's go ahead and change this over to a VRay material. So I'm going to select physical material here and I'm going to scroll down to the VRay rollout. Find VRay material. Click okay. You'll notice that these render here. And what we want to do is create a metal sconce. So first thing we want to…
