Understanding basics of V-Ray material
- [Narrator] In this video we are going to discuss the basics of vray material. I'm going to make sure that the renderer is set up to vray renderer here. Because if it is not set to vray, we'll not be able to access the vray material. So it is currently set to vray advanced. I'm going to close my render set up dialogue box. And choosing any empty slot, I will click on the standard button here. And from my material map browser, I will look and choose the vray material by double clicking on that. Now the vray material is a very power material and it comes with different types of shaders. Usually the blinn can be used for almost all the purposes, but for plastic, phong can serve better than blinn. But in our example, we'll be sticking to the blinn here. Now I'm going to take you through the basic parameters and the most important parameters really quickly here. The first parameter is the diffuse, to demonstrate that I'm going to choose my bottom model over here and assign this material…
