Using Brute Force GI

at the last of V-Ray's available GI engines, this being the Brute Force option. And so, let's jump into the render setup dialog, as the primary ray engine. by leaving the secondary bounce engine disabled, Now something that I typically point out to students at this point is the fact that, in the past, very few seasoned V-Ray users would generally choose to make use of the Brute Force engine on an interior project is changing as computing power and so render speeds continue to improve. Even so, unless there is a very specific need, such as having lots of detailed geometry in a scene, the fact that the Brute Force engine can be both slow to calculate and hard to clean up on, interior renders, such as this, can still make it a use at your peril type option, unless we have lots and lots of rendering power at our disposal that is.
