- [Instructor] In a previous movie, we saw how the Arnold sky dome light can provide environmental illumination, a background panorama, or any combination of those. One limitation of Arnold is that we can't see the surface of a light in a view port. To preview a background panorama in the view port, we need to use the scene environment instead of an Arnold sky dome. In this movie, I'll show you how to use advanced mode in the Arnold environment settings, to render a backdrop separately from any lighting, and also preview that in a view port. Let's do an active shade render. I've set that up to render the physical camera view here. And as we set this up previously, we have lighting coming from an Arnold physical sky, and we have an environment backdrop and specular and transmissive components coming from a high dynamic range image.
