Using State Sets for rendering in passes, part 1

- In this particular video, we're going to use state sets to help us break up. And then render our scene in a series of passes of layers. Now in this instance we are only going to be splitting our scene into two distinct layers. But given that the basic process would be the same, whether creating two, 22 or even 102 there will be plenty that we can take away from this exercise in terms of making use of state sets for a very specific workflow. The first thing we'll want to do then is add a new state to our scene and then do a little renaming. So let's call one of our States Environment and the other Objects. The idea being that we will create separate render passes for the objects that are setting on the table, as well as for the table and room geometries themselves. With the object state active, let's then come over to the layer Explorer and with sort by layer mode active, use the control key to multi-select the room…
