can potentially provide a big leap forward in productivity for artists using it, given that it is essentially a hybrid render engine, able to leverage the power of both the GPU and CPUs in our computer. And so, let's take a look at the basics of how we would go about accessing and then using the GPU engine in a project. Setting up hybrid rendering in a scene is super easy to do these days, as all we need do is open up the render setup dialog and from the renderer drop down, select the GPU option. No need to enable ActiveShade mode or anything like that, we can just set the GPU engine as our production renderer of choice, and we are good to go. Before we actually go ahead and do that, though, with our current render time fixed in the render setup dialog at a limit of one minute, let's take a base render so that we can make some easy comparisons once we make the switch, and then we want to save that to the history list.
