Using V-Ray Geometry: Clipper

- [Instructor] In this exercise, we're going to quickly walk through use of the clipper tool, which is essentially section plane or cutaway effect. To show this off as we work, let's open up the V-Ray frame buffer and, with the camera viewport in focus, kick off an IPR session. To make use of the Clipper tool, we need to be in the Geometry section of the Create tab, so that we can open up the dropdown and choose the V-Ray option. Here, amidst a number of V-Ray's geometry-based tools, we find the V-Ray Clipper option, which we need to click in order to activate Create mode. Given that the Clipper is created as a plane or helper object orthogonal to the view in which we add it, let's come to the left viewport, which is focused in on the lantern geometry that we have, and then left-click just once to create the Clipper helper. As we only need a single helper, we can then right-click to exit Creation mode. This very conveniently places our Clipper object at almost exactly the point we…
