Using exposure values in V-Ray

- [Instructor] Now besides being able to use real world camera controls such as F-number, shutter speed, and film speed to handle the exposure of our renders, another option on the V-Ray Physical Camera would be to use exposure values instead. An exposure value being just a quick and easy way for us to describe the amount of light present in a given environment. Once light has been measured and the required exposure value established, that EV number can then be used to automatically dial in the necessary exposure setting for us, thereby giving us a theoretical best exposure for the shot that we are wanting to take. What is really interesting, though, is the fact that an exposure value doesn't actually give us an exact recipe or specific set of parameters to be used. In fact, quite the opposite, as all exposure values can be arrived at using a variety of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO or film speed combinations.…
