Using motion capture
- [Instructor] With the basics of our motion capture system set up and ready to go, what we want to do in this video is take a look at how we would actually go about creating animation with it. If we jump into the Utilities tab in the command panel then, you can see we have this Motion Capture option which once clicked, opens up a rollout that has all of the motion capture tracks that we set up earlier listed and ready to work with. If you get a warning dialog popping up here regarding MIDI input errors, just click OK and everything will be fine. What we can do now is test each of the setups our motion capture assignments that we have already made just to make sure that everything is working as it should before we go ahead and record. If I select the first track in the list then which in my case is the rotation track, you will see as I enable the test button that moving my mouse horizontally does indeed control the rotation of our robot arm.
