- [Instructor] I would imagine that the texture map that we will we look at in this video, probably ranks quite highly in the list of top used V-ray map types when texturing in 3DS Max. Making it of course a no brainer for inclusion here. We are, in this instance, talking about the VrayDirt Map, which is an ambient and inner occlusion shader, that can be used to create material effects such as dirt, obviously, in the crevices of an object, to create a separate ambient occlusion pass for using a render elements workflow, or indeed to create an edgeware mask using both the ambient and inner occlusion options. To take a look at how the shader works, let's open up the material editor, and access the parameters for our basic gray material.
