The V-Ray Dome light

- [Narrator] Having taken a look at the default plane mode for the V-Ray light, what we are going to do in this exercise is take a look at the next option found on both the V-Ray toolbar and in the lights mode drop down. This being the dome light. To quickly create one, click on the dome light button and then left click once in a view board, so that the light's orientation is set up correctly. And with that, we are done. After a right click to exit create mode, we can see how the dome light works by taking a render of what we have. Now straight away, we can note a few interesting things going on here, in that, if we check in the GI tab in the render setup dialog, we can see that the dome light doesn't need to have any GI systems turned on in order to create a much more complete lighting solution than was the case with the plane light. Given that what we are seeing here is the result of a full sphere of direct light being cast into the scene. We are, by default, using just the color…
