The V-Ray Material: Reflection
- [Instructor] As pretty much everything in the world around us has at least some level of reflectivity It does seem highly likely that if wanting to create realistic looking materials for our scenes we will find ourselves spending at least some time working inside the reflection controls of the V-Ray material. adding some reflectivity to the basic diffuse materials that we created in the previous exercise. reducing their glossiness so as to create a more as it gets really, in that all that we do is alter the gray scale value of the reflect color swatch. Which essentially is our reflection strength control. Whilst white, or one, gives us full reflectivity. To show how this works, let's add a new V-Ray material to the work area. Apply it to our dolls hair using a diffuse color of black. And then set the reflect swatch to white, after which we can take a render. What we get of course is a completely reflective surface, that very clearly shows us everything in the surrounding…
