Versioning and collapsing the stack

- [Instructor] Parametric modeling is a very powerful technique, however at a certain point you're going to need to convert a parametric model to an editable model. And there are many reasons for this. One of them is, if you open a parametric model with a complex stack in a future version of 3ds Max, the behavior of the modifiers may have changed, and the result that you get may be different, and you may not even know this unless it's a radically different model, in other words, the change may be so subtle that it passes unnoticed. That's one reason why you need to convert from a parametric to an editable or baked model. Another reason you would need to do this, is in order to save memory. If you have a very complex stack that's going to take up memory, it's going to take longer to load, because 3ds Max has to calculate all of the operations within the stack.
