- Okay, so we've got some basic variations down, and we've got some sections that we like working with. It's time to start talking about some basic, basic mix stuff. And when I say basic, I mean basic. I don't want to put too much thought into this, but, again, it's all about keeping yourself inspired, and at this point, once I've got a handful of instruments in there, it's a good thing to start to think about doing a little bit of processing to keep things tight and fun-sounding. So, let's start off with the drums. I'm going to go ahead and split out a couple of channels for my drums, and I could've done this in my template, but I didn't, and now I'm paying the price. Snare and then cymbals. There we go. So, now, I'll go over to Battery, (snare drum beats) there we go, turn off the auto, and kick is going to the right place.
