Building a bridge or middle eight section

- In most of the styles of music that I work in, it's necessary to have some sort of variation that comes up in the second half of the song somewhere that gives us a nice diversion from whatever the main theme of the track is. This is not the case with all styles of music, but it is something that I like to do that's fairly common for a lot of the types of music that I work in. Whether it's pop, or hip hop, or some sort of dance tune, it's nice to have a diversion. Rock tunes have the middle eight, there's a bridge in a lot of pop songs, hip hop tracks sometimes have a breakdown or there's that third verse where there's a guest rapper or something like that. With a track like this, we have our little breakdown and our buildup where we have the nice option to add something new. What we've done already when we were building our structure out, is we've come up with something that is already using some of the things that we have. I'm trying to guide the energy down but make it feel fresh…
