- [Instructor] If you're not a great keyboard player or you need to be able to play difficult chord voicings in Live performance, you may want to take a look at Live's midi, chord, and scale plugins. Used separately or in combination, they can simplify entering or performing parts that otherwise might be difficult to play. And you'll notice that down here in the device view that I have several of the default midi effects lined up here. So we've got the pitch plugin, the chord plugin, the scale plugin, and the arpeggiator plugin. So what we'll do is we'll start off with the pitch plugin and then we'll add these other plugins. And just remember that each one of these in turn can alter the midi signal. So let's put the track in input monitoring so that we can monitor notes that we play. (notes play) And I'll start by pointing out that the pitch plugin is a really quick way to be able to transpose notes or parts.
