- [Instructor] Now let's quickly review Ableton Live's preferences. If you're opening Ableton Live for the first time, you're probably going to see a session like this. It has two MIDI tracks and two audio tracks and then we also, in my session. have this little red band around the first eight tracks and that's because I'm using an Ableton Push 2 controller. I'll tell you a little bit more about that in just a second. For now, let's go up to the menu. We're gonna click Live, select Preferences in the drop down, to open our preferences. The first thing I'm gonna change is the Skin which is the way Ableton looks. I'm gonna go to Disco and I'm gonna be using disco for the rest of this course. I just find it easier on the eyes and when you're producing music, sitting in front of the computer for long hours, things like that matter. So, I encourage you to check out some of the other skins which have all kinds of different contrasts and find something that you like. That's just a personal…
