Creating a sidechain saw bass

- Now that we've discussed the basics of how Analog works, it's time to create some Analog presets. Let's get started by creating a saw bass sound with an optional sidechain. So I've opened up the exercise that's chapter 2_01. When you look at that, you'll see that there is a track already in there there. That's simply a trigger that we'll later use for the sidechain. Let's start by creating a MIDI track, so I'll go to the Create menu and choose Insert MIDI Track. And then I'm going to go to the Instruments category in the browser, and I'm going to grab Analog and drag it onto the track. So when you're creating a buzzy bass sound, it's very likely that you're going to want to start off with some sawtooth waveforms. So with our default Analog, we've got them both set to saw shapes. And I'm going to go over to the Global area, and I'm going to choose Quick Routing number one, so that I've got both filters and both amp envelopes in play.
