Creating a vintage lead sound

- Base and lead sounds often have similar starting points, but lead sounds often have more detail in parameters like glide or vibrato, and signal processing effects like delay and reverb. Let's create a vintage lead sound using analog. So I've opened up Exercise 2_05, and I've already got a track in here with analog on it and I've got a few signal processors that I've briefly disabled until we're ready for them. Let's go ahead and name our tracks. So I'll click to select the top of that, let's go cmd+r, ctrl+r on a PC, and let's call this Vintage Lead. OK, so this is going to be a fairly simple patch. Now, I have prepared one thing here in analog, so that I wouldn't have to do that once we get started, and I'll just point out that if you go to the amp section, I've already set just a little bit of a shape here. The biggest change that I'll point out is that I've reduced the release time from the default, about 500 milliseconds down to about 100. That's so that when we lift the key in…
