- I'll be showing you a couple of quick and simple tricks to widen sounds tremendously using filter and delay. First, let's listen to this loop. (heavy electronic music) Kind of a dubsteppy kind of thing, right in the middle. First, let's load Ableton's Auto Filter. Now, this filter is great because it not only can be tweaked manually, but also works automatically, which does some cool panning trickery in sync with your DAW. So, let's hit play and play around with some settings. (heavy electronic music) Alright, I like that, but I want the stereo effect to be even wider, so let's load up Ableton's Simple Delay and play around. (heavy electronic music) See, by offsetting the right side by 228 milliseconds, we get a super wide spread, so let's add a flanger just to get a little more spice. (heavy electronic music) Cool, well let's automate some of the parameters over time. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to copy this flanger plugin from Track 2 from our example track, and that…
