- [Instructor] When editing MIDI we often focus on quantizing and forget to use the other tools that are available to improve and edit a MIDI performance. Let's take a look at how to transpose MIDI notes. And how to edit duration and velocity. Let's start by selecting the chorus pluck clip on the synth track. Now when you look down here if you're seeing devices and not MIDI notes go ahead and press Shift + Tab to toggle between Device View and the MIDI Editor. So when I look at this clip I know that I'm not seeing all the notes in it. So I'm going to move my cursor to the dividing line between the Clip Overview area and Session View, which is up here. And I'll click and hold and drag up so that I can see all the notes in the clip. Now you can transpose a number of different ways. First of all you can just click a note and drag up or down to change the pitch of the note.
