- [Instructor] Editing audio can often result in unwanted pops and clicks at the start and end points of audio clips. Let's take a look at how you can use fades enabled to Lives to mask or mute those problems. Let's start by going into preferences. So, I'm going to go up to the Live menu, and that would be the options menu on a PC, and let's choose preferences. Once you get there, click the record (mumbles) tab, and in the warp fades area, look for the option create fades on clip edges. So, if this preference is enabled, Live will automatically add approximately four millisecond fades to the beginning and ending of every clip in arrangement view. So, let's close that window. And, I'm going to select this clip that we see here, on the lead vocal track in session view, because in session view, if you want to add a fade onto a clip, then all you need to do is enable this button in the sample box that says fade.
