Introduction to Analog
- Analog is a subtractive synthesis plugin and one of the many software instruments included with Live Suite. Analog may seem simple at first, but like the other included plugins, it can be used as a module to build more complex devices. Let's get started with an overview of Analog. So I've got Live open and we see the four default tracks that we get when we create a new file in Ableton. Right now over in the browser, I've got the Sounds category selected. Let's drop down and click on Instruments and here we see the instruments that are included with Live Suite. I'm going to select Analog up here at the top and I'm going to add it onto the track. Now we can do that in about three or four different ways. I can grab Analog and I can drop it on the track itself up here in the track area or I can go down here into the device area or I can go over here and drop it in the Drop Files and Devices area.
