- [Instructor] Objects in Max are building blocks to create your patch. Everything you add is an object. So as you build your patch, whether you use the libraries on the left with packages or other items, or use the objects at the top of the interface, they're all objects. So let me give you an example. So let's go ahead and create a new object. So there's two ways to create a new object. Either you click here, but I prefer to actually use "n" because if you click here, it's going to drop it somewhere in the middle of your screen. But where you want it to drop is where your arrow is. So if I put my arrow here and I do "n," this is where the object is going to be. So let's go ahead and start by removing the mid in and do a note in because the note in will allow us to control when we would tap on a key and actually have something, as opposed to tap wants and then the sound is going to go over and over and over.
