- [Emmanuel] Have you ever wondered what is Max for Live or how you can use it to push your musical experiments further? Are you looking for a course to introduce you to how to program a patch for Ableton Live? If you've answered yes to either of these questions, you've come to the right place. In this course, we'll explore the basics of using Max, a playground to build your own tools for Ableton Live. At the end of this course, you'll have a good foundation of how to build your own patch and use them inside of Live. Hi, I'm Emmi Henri and creating patches with Max is something I've experimented quite a bit and it'll be my pleasure to introduce to you this amazing tool set. First, we'll get started with a few basic terms and explore the world of objects available to you when using Max. Then, we'll move on to create your first patch and work with our first objects. Next, we'll take a look at interface building and push our patch even further. And finally, we'll take a look at what is available out there in the community in node.JS for Max. So if you're ready to learn how to build your own patch for Live, launch Ableton Live and let's get started.
