- [Instructor] The Max drum synth plugins are great for filling out a drum sound or for creating an entire drum set. Let's take a look at the collection and see how you might use them. So let's open up exercise four from chapter 16 and you'll find the DS collection in the Max For Live category in the browser and then if you scroll up you'll see that you've got Max Audio Effects and Max Instruments and the DS collection is in the instrument category. So once you find that, open that folder up and scroll down and you'll see these devices called DS FM, DS Hi-Hat, DS Kick and so on and so forth. Now I've got multiple versions of the program loaded and that's why we're seeing multiples of some of these plugins in my browser. So one way that you might use one of these Max plugins is to fatten out the sound of another kick or snare part.
