MIDI mapping parameters with your controller

- [Instructor] During most of this course so far, we've been using the Ableton Push Hardware to interact with Ableton Live. If you don't have Push, but you have another MIDI-controller like a MIDI-keyboard or you may wanna use both, which I recommend and often do, I'll show you how to set up your MIDI-controller now so that you can map any of Live's parameters to easily record automation or use in a live performance. So, first, we have our MIDI-controller connected here. I have an Arturia MIDI-keyboard and I'm just gonna go into Live's Preferences and we're gonna go to Link and MIDI and then, this device it looks like is class compliant which means that since it's plugged in with a USB cable Live has already recognized it. If you've plugged in your MIDI-controller and don't see it in the device list here, you may need to download a driver for that device and check the manufacturer's website.
