Multi-output Impulse

- [Instructor] The default output from Impulse results in a single stereo signal, which does not allow you to add effects to the individual sounds. So let's take a look at how you can set up Impulse as a multi-output device and add signal processing to the individual instruments of an Impulse drum set. So I've got exercise two from chapter 12 open, and we're already preset here with a MIDI drum loop and an Impulse preset. Now, if I want to add signal processing to this track, I can go into my audio effects category and I can grab an EQ or something, and I can put it on the track as normal, but this EQ is going to end up processing the sound from every one of these pads. So there's an alternative to this. What we need to do is we need to create some tracks to capture the individual outputs. And the way we do this is to create audio tracks. And then we'll put those audio tracks in input monitoring. So we've got six individual sounds here. So let's go ahead and let's create six audio…
