Programming drums with Ableton Live's drum racks

- [Instructor] In our first approach to programming drums in Ableton Live, we're gonna work with one of Ableton's factory kits. Since we were just talking about the 808, let's load that one up. We're gonna go into Drums and load the KitCore 808. We're gonna do that by dragging it right onto the MIDI track. In this example, I'm going to be working a lot with Ableton Push 2 to program drums. One of the things that I really like is the ability to quickly work with the step sequencer to program drums, much like the classic drum machines, and also access a bunch of other parameters, like ASDR, volume, panning, and things like that, right from the hardware. So first I'm gonna turn on our metronome and on Push we can do that by hitting the metronome button on the upper left. You can see on the screen in Live it's illuminated orange. And I'm gonna bring up our tempo to, let's go right around 127. I can adjust the tempo right on Push hardware on the upper left knob. And (drum music) Here's all…
