- [Instructor] Some recordings that contain a mistake or two are worth saving because of the rhythmic feel or the musicality that they contain. So let's take a look at Ableton's punch record feature. It allows you to set record in and out points so that you can re record just the parts that need fixing. Let's set up punch record to record a second bass clip after this chorus bass part. Originally I had that duplicated, but the chord changes are slightly different at the end, so I need to re record another clip there. So, we can set up punch record using the loop brace, which is this thing here in the bottom of the ruler here. So I can drag that over to the area where I need to record and then adjust the start and stop just by moving my cursor to the end of the loop brace and clicking and dragging until I get the amount of time that I need.
