- [Instructor] Reverb is a critical part of any successful mix. Because recreating an acoustical environment is such a complicated task, reverb plugins are often filled with hard to understand parameters. Let's take a look at what those parameters represent and discuss guidelines for using reverb devices effectively. And I'm going to start by placing a reverb plugin directly on this first drum loop track. Now normally I would suggest that you place a reverb plugin on a return track and then route signal via the sends to that return track for processing. But you can put reverb devices directly on tracks, and that results in a few problems that you need to know how to resolve. So I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to fire off this drum clip on that first clip slot, and I'm going to adjust a couple parameters to get it sounding good so let's check it out.
