Routing and resampling

- [Instructor] In previous videos, we've discussed how the track freeze and audio export functions will allow you to render a track and any processing contained on that track to a new audio file. There are a couple of other signal routing options that you should be aware of, and those can be used to create submixes, or to record from one track to a second track. So let's take a look at those options and Ableton's related resampling tool. Let's just remind ourselves of the reasons that you might want to do this. So, first of all, we've discussed in numerous videos here that you might want to render a track using the track freeze option, or the audio export function, so that you can free up any CPU load problems caused by the tracks, or the plug-ins that you have on those tracks. A second reason would be to render a MIDI track to audio, so that you could then take that audio clip and edit it, using the audio editing tools here in Ableton Live.
