- [Narrator] Now I wanna talk a little bit about effects. Live features many powerful effects that you can use for mixing, such as EQ and compression, spacial effects, like reverb and many other sound mangling effects for sound design, like beat repeat, flanger, chorus, and more. We also have what are called effects sends which are a bit different from instances effects that we can add to our individual tracks. Let me show you what these are. So when you open up a session, by default you're gonna see two audio and two midi tracks. I have a couple clips in this session and what we wanna do is I'm gonna solo this drum track and play it for a second. (drums) So over on the right hand side, you can see our two effects sends which by default in a new session are a reverb and a delay. (drums) If I make sure that sends are visible here by clicking this S, as I increase A (drums) you can hear that reverb kicking in in that and you can see I have audio that I'm sending to the reverb.
