- [Instructor] Simpler's One-Shot mode is optimized for working with short samples. Let's take a look at how you can use Simpler to fine tune samples and build drum tracks. So I've just got a default set open, but I do have some samples out in a folder that we're going to use. So let's go out to the exercise folder and into chapter 12 and into the subfolder for number six. Now you'll notice that there are several samples here. Now what I want to start off by doing is I'm just going to drag this kick in wave and I'm going to drop it on the drop instrument or sample area at the bottom of the track. And notice that when I do that that Ableton automatically puts that audio file into a Simpler. Now we want to work in One-Shot mode so let's go ahead and click the second tab here. Now like in the last video, remember that we can display the view here of the waveform in larger detail if you click this little arrow up in the title bar and now we can zoom in and we can see what's going on…
