Simpler slice mode

- [Narrator] In addition to classic and one shot modes Simpler has a third mode, slice mode. This allows you to load a sample and then trigger it from the different transients contained within the waveform. Let's take a look and see how slice mode works. So let's open up exercise seven from chapter 12, and on this first track I've got a simpler and I've already preloaded a drum loop. So let's go ahead a click the unfold button so we can see the sample in greater detail and down here in the lower left hand corner of that display, let's go ahead and click the slice button. So, what you're looking at now is an analysis that Ableton Live has done and it's placed those blue lines at every point where it thinks a transient occurs. Now we can control that using this sensitivity slider right here, and at this point it's at 100 percent by default. If I grab that value and pull it down, you'll gradually start to see those sensitivity sliders go away. Now if there's a transient that's missing a…
