- [Speaker] In the early days of the mixing process, many studios were really expensive and had these huge analog consoles and a bunch of outboard analog gear. But these days it's really easy to do a lot of your mixing in the box. But it's also nice to have hardware because mixing is so much of a listening process and the production process can be so visual as you're looking at regions and editing. But mixing, it's critical that you're just using your ears. So it's nice to have some hardware. With Push 2, there's a lot of things that I like about using it for the mixing process and I'm gonna show you a little bit of that now. So, first we're in this session that we've been working on together with the vocal part to make that new melody from the sample vocal. What I'm gonna do is bring up the mixer a little bit and when I say bring it up, I mean expand it here so that we can more accurately see our dB levels.
