- [Narrator] Let's dive into some of Clyphx pro's basics. This scripting language uses over 300 commands that are called actions and there are several ways that actions can be triggered. For the moment, I'll focus on x clips which are just session viewed dummy clips that contain actions in their name. To create an x clip, double click an empty MIDI tracks slot to create a blank MIDI clip. Unloop it and use command or control r to rename it. What distinguishes an x clip from a regular dummy clip is that its name starts with an identifier which can be anything enclosed in square brackets. For example, Clyphx pro or just X. What's inside the bracket is completely up to you and can be different for different x clips if you like. Personally, I actually prefer not to have anything in there just an open and closed bracket which is fine. Just like this. Let me make this track wider.
