Cognitive issues

- Cognitive issues are the least understood areas of accessibility. They're incredibly diverse and are sometimes difficult to accommodate. Many people even throw their hands up in frustration, not knowing how to take these into account in their designs. Most cognitive issues relate to one of the following types of brain function; memory, problem solving, attention and focus, literacy and reading, visual comprehension, or verbal comprehension. Some of these issues don't necessarily have anything to do with the disability either. They could simply be because someone is consuming content in their non-native language. There are a few things that we can do to help with some of these issues. These strategies won't eliminate the problems, but they certainly will help. First, design for forgetfulness.
