Creating and using typical takeoffs

- [Lecturer] We're going to talk about creating and using typical takeoffs. This is a very powerful tool, however, it's a little complicated to use. You have to follow closely, and be very careful when you use typicals. When you use typicals, for the most part, you're going to multiply a takeoff item or assembly many times, and you're going to assign it to breakdowns. It's very powerful, but if it's done wrong, you're going to have very unexpected results that could change your estimate in a great way. First, we're going to, as an example, make some typical designations. Let's say, for whatever reason, in this building, I'm going to have bedrooms and bathrooms. I'll click on typical next to building A, you'll see building A as a description. Now I'm going to make a typical. Let's call this 'Bathroom', enter. Now, when I select on bathroom as a typical, let's say that there's three bathrooms, it will make for each bathroom I take off, it'll multiply it by three. How about bedroom?…
