- [Instructor] In the previous courses leading up to this one, we have mostly talked about the nuts and bolts of construction. The wood, the concrete, the conduit and wire, plumbing fixtures, etc. However, there's much more that affects the price of a construction project. But before we start listing some of our costs on the takeoff sheet, we should be aware of the project conditions, also known as the general conditions. Construction projects have written general conditions that outline the administrative requirements and basic methodology of how a particular construction project is intended to run. Seek these out in the documents, and if you are unsure of anything, request more information from the owner or customer. Some examples of these are working hours and working conditions can affect the pricing of your labor drastically, depending on what is called for in your project.
