Creating a document for animation

- [Instructor] The first step with any project using Animate is to create a new document. We saw how to do this in our first project and this new project set up will be very similar. The main difference here is that we'll be creating all the content ourselves. So you can always go into the create new dialogue, but the preset that we want is actually part of the start a new file fast menu here. So if I click on this little arrow, we can find the HD preset, which is what we want to use for this project. Here it's created a new project for us, and what we're going to do is fit in window so we can see the entire stage and let's modify that stage color. Once again I'm going to choose the hex code of nine nine nine nine nine nine. So it's a nice gray color. In our view menu let's go ahead and change our snapping. We'll edit the snapping to make sure to snap to grid and to pixels and hit okay. All right the document's now set up. It's again, a 1280 by 720 HD file at 30 frames per second. So let's choose file and save. There is our starter FLA from the previous project. Let's go ahead and name this one animation.FLA, because this is going to be an animation of our own creation. Whereas starter used pre-made assets. Make sure you choose FLA for your document type and hit save. Using a simple preset in this way makes it easy to get a new project up and running fast inside of Animate.
